I do longing for weekends every single weeks…I love to daydream, wander around the island (well mostly Seminyak, Canggu area) and just hit some cafes and start to daydream…
Last couple of weekends were busy as I have best friends coming over and some of them also stay at my pad yeayyy…
In Bali, every weekend you’ll discover new places, or sometimes and for me in particular I can always “found” another story even though you went to the same place, perhaps that’s what I called now “comfort place” in Bali, speaking of which, Yamuna Homemade Pastry & Dietry is one of those “comfort place” for myself, I know is super far from where I am staying now which is in Bukit Ungasan and Yamuna located in Umalas/Bumbak area closer to Canggu…Jauh banget!
Located on Jalan Tegal Cupek II, the best way to reach this place is from Umalas II then you turn right to Bumbak Dauh, just go straight ahead and you’ll reach those small street, or if you need a map try to locate The Kahyangan Dreams Umalas as this place just across the villa :), Yamuna only opens its door every weekend (Fri – Sun) from 12 PM till around 7 PM however depends on the guests or the lovable owner can be longer…unless if he is tired and need to go to bed soon then they closed at 7 PM 🙂
Tucked in behind a traditional Indonesian door called “gebyog” once you stepped in you’ll find a water healing sound therapy and lush small garden with chairs and tables in every corner, I did make a count and it fit for 12 guests 🙂 the main building is a knockdown wooden house, on the first floor is the area where you can order the cakes and tea and kitchen where they made the heavenly sweets, while (oh this one is such a dreamy concept) the second floor is a private area for the owner, it’s his bedroom too.
If you like all things sweets, you most probably love this place, I, myself love their cake called Early Pillow and Snickers, they do not serve coffee they only serve tea and they do have TWG, yeap TWG, not so many tearoom in Bali and this one can be your option! (IG : @yamunapastry)
Last Saturday, I was also bringing my besties to hangout in Canggu, first stop a brunch at MyWarung, a cool warung serve mainly western food but they do also have great Nasi Goreng with Michelin Star Chef, and also own by friends of mine, a pretty laidback dining place with great food I might say, hey have indoor and outdoor seating area, just pick whether you want to have a cooler air from aircon or just sitting outside while people’s watching and mobil mobil dan motor motor watching lah 🙂
I love their Nasi Goreng, K Burger and L’Entrecote, MyWarung is located on Jalan Subak Sari No. 80 in Canggu just after the Desa Seni Resort on the right hand side if you are coming from Petitenget/Seminyak/Kerobokan.
The privilege of living on this island is, you can easily find a cool place to hangout by the beach with sort of like a laid back ambiance but still very much well designed, last weekend we went to catch the sunset at this beach house called The Lawn Canggu, with mostly off white interior and touches of green from the plants or from the artificial grass without being tacky, you’ll find yourself laying down on it under the white parasols, ah well simply adorable…yet you’ll see boys with great abs and chest LOL walking around the lawn, oh what a sight for sore eyes!

Another week to kill before next weekend with another discovery!
