Solo Mio Part 2

Kali kedua Saya stay di area Kampung Laweyan, it’s a batik village and it used to be very grand, only now lost its charms little by little and hoping will bounce back again with preserving the old mansions around the Kampung (village).

Got a chance to finally have a peeked the old mansion once owned by Juragan Batik Laweyan, dengan memberanikan diri untuk mengetuk pintu besar rumah bertembok putih bersih di salah satu gang atau jalan yang ada di Kampung Laweyan bersama rekan saya Halim Santoso, and we were lucky, karena ternyata rumah besar ini sedang mengalami renovasi dan hampir rampung dan akan dijadikan homestay bernama WHEN IN SOLO.

Here we go…

Other great mansion is the homestay that I stayed during my one night in Solo, this is the second time I stayed there, one of the most well-preserved old mansion, and again it was owned by Juragan Batik (Batik Owner), built in 1930s 1938 for the exact year, with Art Deco style, it’s a beautiful old mansion located on the main road and yet surrounded by high walls, now this beautiful house own by Ibu Nina Akbar Tanjung, she is very profound of old buildings and the wife of former Indonesian Minister, the house now called ROEMAHKOE HERITAGE (www.roemahkoe.com), here is some details of this house…
